Sales Manager - IT services and managed services
We are looking for a high-impact Sales Manager to drive growth across the UK market, expanding A&O IT Group’s footprint across enterprise clients and large Systems Integrators (SIs).
In this role, you’ll own strategic accounts, build a strong customer base, and lead new business development while delivering innovative IT service solutions in collaboration with global teams.
You’ll succeed if you bring strong experience in enterprise IT services sales, strategic account growth, and engaging C-level stakeholders.
Role Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding A&O IT Group’s presence in the UK and globally.
This role focuses on developing and managing strategic named accounts, including large Systems Integrators (SIs), enterprise customers, and global clients across both direct and indirect channels.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Market Expansion: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Strategic Account Management: Define and implement account plans to grow enterprise clients and large Systems Integrators (SIs), ensuring long-term profitability
Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive-level contacts, delivering tailored solutions
Sales Process & Pipeline Management: Drive structured sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, pipeline tracking, and deal closure using CRM tools
Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate forecasts and insights on pipeline health, sales performance, and customer engagement
Negotiation & Commercial Oversight: Lead contract negotiations and pricing strategies to optimize revenue and margin performance
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Solutions, Delivery, Finance, and HR teams to ensure seamless execution
Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and inspire global sales teams, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
Operational Alignment: Ensure adherence to internal governance, compliance standards, and cross-functional coordination
Handling Complexity & Change: Provide leadership in dynamic environments, guiding teams through evolving market conditions and client needs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of sales experience in IT services, managed services, or technology solutions
Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer landscape
Proven experience managing enterprise clients and large Systems Integrators (SIs)
Strong understanding of global IT service delivery models, including field services and outsourcing
Demonstrated success in strategic account planning, enterprise sales, and complex deal structuring (MSA/SOW)
Strong understanding of enterprise buying cycles and procurement processes
Experience engaging with C-suite stakeholders (CIO, CTO, Procurement) and influencing decision-making
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong financial acumen (forecasting, pricing, margin management, value-based selling)
Experience with CRM tools and data-driven sales management (pipeline analytics, forecasting accuracy)
Proven leadership experience managing high-performing, global or distributed teams
Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization with cross-functional collaboration
